When are the decision makers in home office going to realize that claims needs to be an area that has a person just working in that area and not working in receiving as well ( they could still help out when needed) the last week was pure hell and this week isn’t much better . A ton of returns that home office wants done ASAP and no one has time to do them . Claims is the forgotten step child in this whole backroom process and our clubs claims area is a disaster . Wake up home office ... we can’t do this all by ourselves .. not sure about anyone else’s club.. but we get no help from anyone , even though we were told the floor merchandisers would be cross trained ... that’s a joke !

I have heard that some clubs don't even orange sticker.."its not the image Sam's want to portray"..... so a box of 23 kit kats gets thrown away because it is missing 1....I love when there is a page for receiving line 1.....and as I am toiling away unloading a truck I laugh and think to myself that the office clerk will answer the call.....the folks that made the decision to eliminate claims and get rid of half the help in receiving have never worked on a dock a day in there life...
We have 2 full time back room associates during the day. One at 3pm. One of them on days is to worried about claims and leaves the other one to receive everything and unload the trucks. Once claims is done she wants to leave and does! One of them are by themselves on 2 days a week and has to do both. A little crazy, thought we got rid of just claims........
Someone get them a little orange towel to absorb those tear drops. Hell I heard a club had to close down because claims people quit when they changed job title to back room.
In our Club there are "4 back room associates" but only two of us do EVERYTHING. The closer just unloads trucks and the 3rd back room associate just merchandises everyday. In my opinion the other two should not even get the back room pay increase, they do nothing to help in Claims or unloading trucks, paying bills, ordering GNFR, etc.
our club has one full time and one part timer that does nothing but claims. The part timer does not even have a forklift license
Our club also has 3 during the day and 1 in the afternoon, but with block scheduling there are days with just 2 people and if someone is on vacation or calls in there is only 1 person... which is pure hell on some days... our managers or leads don’t care if we are overwhelmed or running around trying to do everything back there ... I had 1 manager tell me to just deal with it cause this is the job I signed up for ... the more u give the more they want !
My club has 4 back room associates. 3 morning and one night. I also work receiving and claims full time but I’m not back room associate.

How many clubs have more then 2 people to do backroom stuff-receiving & claims??
We manage it here but honestly a lot is thrown or just sent right to return center, no time to test things repackage things mark down things etc etc.
We have a person that stays in claims and 2 in receiving. Nothing has changed here.
Our backroom associates run freight and process claims. They don't ever work out on the floor unless there is nothing to do on the docks.
Our backroom associate that does claims would k–l any associate that tried to come into claims and "help" haha.
I can remember taking returned tvs checking them out, putting orange tag and reselling them. Now they all are shipped out.
We can’t get our work done because we are told we are backroom merchandisers and are constantly being used on the floor. Does this happen to anyone else?
Do what some of the others are doing. Key it out and throw it out. That's the only way we catch up , and we were told this by other clubs. Sam's is making tons of money and we're breaking our backs for it to happen. Make it easier on yourself. Throw it out. Problem solved.
