How many who were laid off have found a new job? Are you 50 or older? Did you find a job outside the financial services sector?

There are jobs out there. I was able to find one in a few months. The pay was the same. Different field of work. Many that I know who also are gone found something. Use this as an opportunity to move elsewhere. I wish you all the best!
I was laid off in May 2019 got an offer in September 2019 doing almost the same job making double my salary with a 15% bonus! Never got a bonus at BNY.
Jobs are out there. You just have to go for it, instead of looking at the postings here and wondering what will happen.
I did. Wasn’t active so took me about 4 months.
61 yrs old. Worked in Pittsburgh, laid off in May after 20 years of service. Found a job 3 months later with a surgical robotics company. I couldn't be happier. Great co-workers, higher pay, interesting work and a non-toxic environment.
Was separated in 2014 after more than 20 years of service with the age before 60, easily found a good consultant position with investment bank which payed twice as much as BNYM for two years, after this assignment in this great economy.... nothing in finance.
Sorry should also have asked if you know of anyone who found a new job. Presumably many with new jobs no longer use this site
