Does anybody know what the restriction will be for managers. It’s almost the end of the fiscal year.

Are management cuts coming from Evalution scores ?
Sure hope they discuss pay raises to everyone not just certain areas. I mean they are piling more work on everyone they need to pay more money to.
Here is what is happening. In mid to late February the Market Managers already have a meeting planned. What is going to happen will be that clubs will be reducing Assistant Managers again. Being told that it is based on volume. Higher volume clubs will get 5 assistants and lower volume clubs get 4 assistants.
This company is dysfunctional. Be ready for more changes
Heard there was meetings this coming week for CMs and MM. Is this company wide?
Wouldn’t all clubs be having a mandatory meeting if it was to go over restructuring? That’s probably specific to your club.
Please report back after the meeting if you find anything out!
My club is having a mandatory manager meeting today with the CM coming back in from PTO for it. Only being short one manager, I assume this is to go over changes that will be announced next week for the club. Only rumor circulating (aside from losing a manager position or two) is the possibility that the club hours change from 7am-8:30pm to 9am-8:30pm.
You have a great CM if they do not allow the assistants to sit in the office all day everyday. My club is a joke. They should fire every club MGR that allows the assistants to sit in the office but that would be to simple. Let’s fire the ones that are out actually working.
I don't know what clubs you guys are from, but there are no chairs, no computers, nothing in managers offices including fresh office which remains locked. All managers stay in their areas, stand at Jewelry or Club pick up computers to do schedules and use cell phones for emails. PTC office used for orientations only. Our CM is always on the floor, seems like she is everywhere at one time. Leaves you 20 notes in the app daily. I guess w just got lucky and have a good team, these are the ones that we will hate to see go, they actually care about this Club.
3 mgrs, 1gm, mgrs get higher starting wages and higher ceiling.
I could see going to 3 assistant Managers that makes sense right now there are to many managers most of the time they just hide out in the office the merchandise leads are opening and closing the building. You really would be ok with 1 manager working say a 8-6 then one at 11-9.
Going to a position based wage system was almost as ridiculous as the block scheduling that couldn't be changed, but then got changed for certain position,. They should have kept with the raises based on your performance, not your title. Whatever happened to working for your compensation? Giving wage increases to certain departments only creates a divide amongst fresh, front end, floor...etc. any how, somethings gotta be cut to pay for those increases, so getting rid of an assistant makes perfect sense.
Fresh leads got screwed with scheduling. Many that were already making the new starting wage stepped down. That's why the unqualified people are lining up.
Everyone wants to work in fresh. Until they do. Then they don't. Also the line for a fresh lead spot is now out the door, and unqualified people are being promoted everyday because of it.
@1bcq nice try... Absolutely anyone who says fresh doesn't do much has never held a position in fresh. Never! Now go ahead and fold some clothes or whatever it is you really do. The grown-ups are talking.
@enb
I have been a deli, produce, and bakery lead. I'm quite aware of what our fresh departments do.
If you seriously think we do more work and deal with more daily issues than the front end you are delusional.
But you keep telling yourself your job is difficult.
We will be going down to 3 ASM 1 Fresh 1 Merch manager 1 Front end manager.
Sounds about right. Does anything this company does make sense??
No way merchandising is taking over produce and deli that would mean they would be eliminating 2 fresh leads.
@kmt - perfect example of someone who does NOT know what goes on in Sam's club. It's ok though. Maybe get yourself one of those positions and come back and talk. Or I mean, apologize. 😂😂😂
I'm still amazed Fresh leads (and regular fresh positions) make the most money and deal with the least amount of s**t. Highest paid positions should be the front end, followed by merchandisers, followed by fresh, followed by tires.
I know it's rough hardly dealing with members, slapping some frosting on a cake, hanging out listening to music, leaning up against the rotisserie case, not answering a walkie (even though each Dept has 2/3), wandering around your fresh area with an iPad, and fluffing tomatoes.
Though I do give it up to cafe associates, they are on the front lines with the front end associates and can't actually hide all day.
Good luck team leads!!!
Supposedly Fresh I and one Member Service Manager position going away. Produce and Freezer/Cooler/Deli going to merchandising. Fresh II will have production areas.
Give it a few weeks and we'll all know. Until then it's just speculation.
Maybe it's not going to happen at all
