Jim Farley could get 32% pay raise as Ford chief operating officer

Well, it looks like there's at least one person in the company that must be very glad Joe Hinrichs is gone! An additional $2 million, not bad for someone who has the same delivery track record as Hackett, and seems almost as unanimously hated by the ground troops.
I guess now Farley is looking forward to the day he gets bumped to the CEO salary of near $20 million...

Sorry folks, but get ready for one bumpy ride. The 21MY F150 was rolling around with minimal camo and the comments are not encouraging. Styling is barely changed when the competition heavily revamped in the last 2 years. Not a believer Bronco will make a huge difference, it will be an over priced niche. Witnessing another death of an American company. Now on to Farley. This man is dangerous and he will pitch the nose down vertical and go full thrusters. Save your money folks, no big purchases this year, you will need the cash reserve for what's coming next.

If Farley is such a great leader Why is Hackett doing a big sell job of Farley to the employees? Why the reprint of Farley puff pieces to Ford internal sites? Why the need to tell employees not to judge Farley on his past behavior?
Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior.

I knew a marketing director who would be filled with anxiety and dread every time he had to meet with Farley to give him an update.

@tox: it's probably fairer to consider the article somewhat biased, but a few worrying insights on Farley's management style (in the second half of the article which is really about him).

Yeah I saw something else that makes him sound like he is not a People Person which a good CEO absolutely must be good with People

Keep working hard for your 3% raise. The Ford family appreciates everything that you do.

I worked with him in marketing. He has a tough time with agendas at his meetings. He also a hard time making required decisions. LL4's and LL5's did a a lot of work to try and manage this. He definitely thinks he is the smartest in the room, lashes out a lot

What do meteorologists and Ford executives have in common?

They can be wrong an incompetent 90% of the time and still keep their jobs.
