Cisco is #4 on Fortune 100 Best companies to work for

News Summary:

Cisco was named No. 4 on the list of 2020 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For®, its 23rd year on the list
98% of Cisco employees said Cisco is a great place to work, compared to 92% at other companies
99% said they were treated fairly regardless of their s-xual orientation, compared to 97% at other companies
98% said they were proud of the ways Cisco contributes to the community, compared to 93% at other companies

My question is if there are so many folks in the above stats rating about Cisco, why are folks on here so negative?

Here is what I don't understand about this. Nothing culturally changed at Cisco that would warrant their bump in rankings like this. Pay cuts, stock price plummeting, insurmountable issues with product quality, TAC refusing to actually assist customers (placing the burden on pre-sales teams), constant bickering about politics with coworkers.

This company is a mess and this is the hardest it has been to work at Cisco in a long, long time.

i would never answer a survey that cisco is fair to employees after the removed the performance review and started the random layoff process. Yet i believe that they flooded the process with the answers they wanted to see.

😂 is this guy for real. I’ve never worked anywhere where your job is at risk on a quarterly basis. Chuck needs the chuck, he’s not cut out for this.

Even Saddam Hussein only got 97% of the vote...

I've never been surveyed. My managers would also k–l me if I wrote anything negative in a survey.

That's a very misleading statistic. I'd be a very rich person if I could find someone to bet me that they actually surveyed a significant number of employees.

What did they do, ask HR to find the top 100 employees most likely to give a perfect review and still only got 98%?

As they say, the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Because this is another paid-for rating that Cisco HR funds. Sure it rates well for lack of s-xual discrimination and contributing to the local community...but which large or even medium-sized company in the US or EU doesn’t act in this manner. Look beyond this to the pain the quarterly LR’s cause to both those impacted as well as the remainder of the workforce who actually care about the company and you’ll get a more truthful picture of working at Cisco.

Dear OP, really? So you actually believe that the survey did not have a sample set for results to look like that? With talent like yours, no wonder Cisco is going in gutter. And yes, I don't care if you think I was disparaging to you.
