I see job postings, but for my state its the lowest I have ever seen since starting several years ago. I normally check once a month just to see what's out there. I used to refer friends who are looking for something new. From what I've personally seen, they would fill a position and will turn around and layoff the new person off 3 months later. I guess what better way to make it "look" like the company is growing, is to have job posting.
And they. Really aren’t hiring to the volume they advertise. They want to appear that they are hiring a ton however. It keeps stock people happy and creates a good image.
At one point we were told the goal was to reduce US workforce to 20%. The balance was to be off shore.
So why do the keep hiring?
If prior posts are accurate, they had said aim was to offshore down to literally a few in MN. If that’s true we all need a healthy wake up call to get searching for other jobs NOW because with continued layoffs listed on this site expecting through year end 2020, that would mean less and less interest of UHG to give out server aces or to care in even the slightest. So just to be safe and assume it’s you and your team and prepare like a run through drill on personal time so you and your loved ones know ahead of time what could be coming in two weeks or sometime in 2020. If the anxiety of that possibility of being laid off gets you (understandably) freaked out, then tell yourself you can sit and ride it out like many of us are doing or you can get ready to jump out on your own. But the one thing all of us is grateful for is the heads up on this site. We may not like was is or has or will happen but at least we can say we knew it was coming.
