Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Ethics?

Does anyone recall the ethics "training" that was required either once or every other year? Has this been eliminated? At one time there was even a hotline. There was a directive, that if not illegal is at least unethical, followed by "your opinion if this is right or wrong is irrelevant."

Shouldn't be shocked from leadership at a company charged with a $65 million settlement for SEC violations....

Tampa still has EHS (safety), ethics, insider trading, and PCI training required and monitored through greenlight. There may be others, but those are the ones I have to take. They haven't been updated in years though, most folks just click through them and know the answers.

It was once a year, Alongside safety training and others depending on what department you were in. Even the PCI compliance training has fallen to the wayside. Perhaps because they laid off the people who were in charge of it and it never got passed on to new people? Or maybe because they just don't care.

The place only cares about the money it can make, and taking care of the employees is not one of them.

That is absolutely the same word I use to describe the SEA environment to my new co-workers. So happy I left.
