How long do they keep contractors at BNY Mellon? I have been working as a contractor for almost a year. I heard that they don't extend temporary contracts beyond one year.

every contractor ive known since i started working here was not extended. rarely do they hire to perm. but to make you feel better even FT employees dont know if their job will be extended at year end too
It’s supposed to be for no more than one year. After that they are supposed to either lay off the contractor or hire on as a direct employee. I know a person who contracted for bny Mellon for 4 years before finally getting a direct position
