Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Attention Calpers / DMHC

UHC has a contract with Calpers where it states UHC cannot outsource their employees claims, claims must be handled in the states but yet the folks in Ireland and India are processing or reprocessing their claims. Shame on you United.

The restrictions are so confusing for so many contracts and products I think. Is caliper restricted to all work even IT. There are so many different levels of restrictions.
Why was this not implemented in every single system we have before we started on the journey of global workforce...
Oh I know it is cheaper to pay a fine than to honor our contracts. I love how people act like they did not know their are actual restrictions beyond PHI too. I am approver on some systems and I get business justification my employee needs access to do their job. Well sorry manager you employee cannot have back end access because we do not restrict record level in that system. So satupid.
Why were our customers and contract promises not taken into account? It upsets me because it is not ethical.
I could tell you there are lots of backend systems being accessed with current and historical data that Carry restrictions and other than masking PHI they do not stop offshore from seeing and using the data. I am surprised that a system front end however would not have this in place.perhaps it was auto adjudicated and ended up in an edit queue that is allowed for 1 type of edit. What am I saying. Based off the development process, that waterfall approach if it is under Polaris I would not be surprised at all. There have been so many products/apps just pushed to go live before they are tested now. Don't worry before an audit is done they will just run a job to replace all their names with a onshore Qa person and not show auditors the record edit logs.
