Just heard a warehouse in CT is closing April 2020 and product will come from some new state of the art warehouse in NY.

We are at the pinnacle of a retail revolution....that doesn’t equate to small changes! Nice try
The changes in retail site aren’t small!!!
We're committed to dsd!! Just small changes coming! No layoffs for anyone. Quit spreading fake news!
Yeah, if Mondelez employees don’t see what’s coming their way.......they aren’t looking! Plain and simple!
Nestle said new laptops on the way then 6 months later a pause with NO explanation.. 1 year later NO MORE DSD......watch the signs if weird things start happening or you hear something new.......u never know
Enjoy it while it lasts, it’s not yours or Mondelez, it’s a leased car! When the “direct ship” thing happens, they can simply reassign that car to someone else who needs it....outside of field sales!
If you look at your car as your “job security”, I feel truly sorry for you!! Doesn’t work like that!
Gettin my new Malibu Friday!! Looks like they canceled the Direct ship thing y'all been talking about!! DSD isn't going away this year!! Keep guessing!!
They will hide behind things as long as they need to! Won’t change the outcome!! Anyone who doesn’t see it, or asks their DM, well they just live in a state of denial! Sad but true! All the exercises are not just for their mind! Be for real here! Nice try!
All signs pointing to a dsd exit! 1red flag after another. How much longer can the company hide behind it?
Yes I believe so. About 25 more bucks a paycheck
Are they going to charge us more for the Malibu?
We are only getting Malibu’s because Chevy no longer has the Cruze in production.
Some people really done seem to get it! They are missing the fundamental point! Here it is once again......
DSD isn’t free! Retailers pay a premium for our full service! This premium (or cost) is passes along in the price of the goods they purchase. Now Kellogg product has a lower line item cost than Mondelez, etc.. The profit margin on Kellogg items (like cheezits) is higher than the profit margin on Mondelez. DO YOU THINK RETAILERS CARE ABOUT STOCK PRICE? They care about their own stock price, not ours!
Not too difficult to figure out! Wal Mart wants to make sure their profit is maximized, Kroger, etc.. Yes, WM dictates how we do business in the US, they alone are 25% of our business in the USA. Wal Mart will be out of DSD by spring, others will follow!
Asking your DM or shifting focus won’t help you cause of ignorance, it’s gonna happen regardless!
Regards
C P
All stocks are down right now. Corona virus
Kellogg stock at 64, was at 95 before exiting Dsd. The facts don’t care about your feelings.
Walmart must he going direct ship very soon. Hella NOS orders going into mine and they're locked and loaded!!
20 year veteran of Mondelez and 30 veteran of the industry! If I were a merchandise I would not care a bit! Merchandising jobs are a dime a dozen. Honestly Mondelez is the single worst place to work as a merchandiser....in my opinion! I have lunch with my merchandisers and all I hear is complaining about how they are treated, then they quit, then it starts over again!
Reps are the ones who are gonna be screwed!
Nice try!!
More part time merchandisers fear mongering.
In 10 yrs people won’t even remember what dsd was! Retail is evolving way faster than that!
This “new dsd” theory is nothing more than the transition to warehouse!
Keebler reps had a comprehensive car allowance that reps came out ahead on! The current Chevy Cruz’s most reps drive are as cheap as they come! Management drives Malibu’s, which is why they are replacing Cruz’s with Malibu’s, those will go to others when reps are let go!
Kellogg’s issues were not DSD related, they were all about a floundering cereal division. They sold off their cookies to focus on areas of growth, which was not cookies! RX bars, reworking cereal, etc. It’s very common for companies to buy and sell business units! Their stock is coming back, without the cookies!
When you see flash sales or even just POS, Keebler cookies are still a commanding presence, without DSD!
There will be changes well beyond an exit from DSD in 10 years, that’s a laugh! DSD will end for Mondelez soon! Retailers want the margins back!
As far as your DM.....he doesn’t know! They won’t tell him until they tell everyone else! He’s reading a script! When you get your walking papers he will simply say “he didn’t know”! Be smarter than that! You’ve been told now for a little time, you won’t have any excuse!
My DM said that DSD isn't going away! Just realignment to make DSD stronger to head into the e-commerce future. No layoffs this year he said
More like 10 to 15 month's. Possibly sooner!
10-15 years...seriously? That’s a good laugh! In 10-15 years.......the changes will
be so far beyond warehouse! Wake up!
You might want to get some new glasses.
Keebler stop giving reps cars 4 years before exiting. We keep getting new ones. Also, kellogg saw the writing on the wall how much of a mistake it was to exit dsd that they sold keebler off and only kept cheez it’s. Kellogg stock was 95 before leaving now it’s at 67, it was down as low as 54. While our stock climbs each month and our product everywhere.
I believe one day it may happen where we go warehouse, I can’t see it until 10-15 years away.
Wheels in continuous motions towards warehouse!! Oh, it’s coming.......
This is true
