Forklift merch is/was a job code that added more to the paycheck.
It is a incentive position that a GM can use to encourage/enhance associates to earn more by doing more.
The rate will vary depending on where you are working at for the company.
Anyone can have the forklift cert but only 4 should be getting the pay as a Forklift Merch.
What is a forklift merch? All sales floor associate are general merch, they have the option to learn to drive like everyone else in the building. A cashier can be forklift certified as well.
We have TLs making $18 pushing carts, folding clothes, and just about anything else. As long as the checks don't bounce, who cares, do your best .
