Juniata have always had the worst injury ratio's (not that it matters anymore) and put out a junk product. As a Conway employee, we see it 1st hand more than any of the other shops. It really is embarrassing. I'm guessing RLS guys will bring some positive's to this shop, they could use it.

There was an NS 34 Research and Test slug that was sent to SCX last month to fix an F-Up from the Tuna. The great and powerful Tuna put 1 of the trucks in backwards. We had to bail them out as usual and correctly make the proper repairs. Great quality work from the Tunainians!

Before everyone on both sides of this post keeps on trading insulting and childish jabs, how about think of the men and women that have had their lives turned upside down from all of this? And also the ones that are going to lose their livelihood in the future? If you work like you act on this site then no wonder Farrell and his cronies think the worst of us.

Us Roanoke guys didn’t run anything into the ground, your beloved Hershel that y’all sent down here was part of what ran the shop in the ground, don’t worry though, y’all will get him back home here shortly.

None of us have any control of who is laid off or what shops they close. Every shop has been impacted by corporate greed. Anyone who acts like they do is delusional. At the end of the day all of us would do whatever we could to take care of our families. Who wants to move or start over but if that is what it takes then we will.

Going to be a lot of friction and fighting a Juniata. I can’t wait! You southern boys can call us yanks all you want...but YOU SOUTHERN BOI’s all roll over and willingly take it anytime the carrier tries to stick something up our butts. We might be yanks, but we love a good fight, and we’re good at it. I mean we yanks been winning fights since the 1860’s! How much is that rebel script worth again??

You Roanoke clowns already ran your shop into the ground. You keep your southern hospitality, we'll keep our blue collar work ethic. If you think you're gonna come up here and pull that c-ap, think again. You better be ready to bust your asses ladies!

Roanoke was worse I’m sure. Y’alls machinist turned foreman y’all sent down our way had cameras put up on each scaffold. They were more worried about watching people than running the shop. Management is solely to blame for RLS closing down point blank. Wasn’t any of the craft people. Heck they had an SGL running the shop instead of management. Most unprofessional place I’ve ever worked on the rr.

Don't know how Roanoke was run but be ready to enter a prison at JLS. All they care about is writing you up, stalking you, firing people more than ordering material and putting out a product. Welcome to the thunder dome!

It’s a shame what happened to Roanoke and the lives that were affected and being negative towards adjusting to Altoona shop is ridiculous and childish. Both men and women should help make this transition a positive for both sides and cut out all the nonsense and help each other out. Be positive in a negative situation. Both sides of the fence and learn from each other.
