Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Alpharetta or Atlanta?

$900,000,000 in savings needed, and there’s no point of having 2 big buildings 15 miles apart from one another.

Fiserv is new but FIrst Data building was a HQ with a lot of people.

Which will get shut down?

What are the odds that the extra $300,000,000 of synergies is related to closing Alpharetta?

Hey everyone - I am not the person that posted about the town hall - however I do know that there was a "town hall" or a meeting for a specific business unit recently. Maybe thats what the poster meant??20

No, that's c-ap. Just rumors and people perpetuating them, there was no town hall

I didn't hear this town hall. Is it confirmed that Alpharetta will be closing in 2020? Anyone else?

It will be Alpharetta. Heard that in a town hall meeting this week.

Alpharetta is a lovely place to work - the plant is first rate. But many floors DO have empty desks and consider the earlier decimnation on the 4th floor of the east building. I greatly enjoyed the old Fiserv culture in this building. But as another post says it is all about money and why have 2 buildings 15 miles apart. Costs savings MUST be achieved so the beatings will continue until morale improves.

Alpha is 100% closing in 2020 but here is the real interesting part. If everyone actually came into work at the office, neither Alpha or Marietta have enough workspace. With Fiserv canceling WFH agreements and calling everyone home - there is going to be a real math problem - and magnified when you close Alpha..........unless you lay-off a large number of people.....

@xqd+13Ds4WB4 if FB wanted to he could break the lease easily. Happens all the time in business, and given its prime location on Windward would probably be scooped up by someone else.

The guy running real estate is none other than FB’s crony Peter Caviccia. I could see it happening just out of spite. After all, those NY guys don’t care about podunk Georgia anyway do they?

Hitting 300M a year in cost cutting is a pipe dream and simply ear candy for Wall Street. It will never happen. After the Check Free merger they were touting closing all data centers except 4, combining all production operations into one, tried moving all kinds of operations to India, then moved them back, kept talking about moving Brookfield HQ....and on and on. The only thing that succeeded is taking away benefits like decent health insurance, 6% profit sharing, raises and using the saving to buy back stock.

FISERV signed a 20 year deal to lease the facility in Alpharetta. That facility is filling up fast and remote workers including me now go to the office in Alpharetta. I can speak on First Data properties

Alpharetta will 100% close in 2020. And work travel will much closer reviewed than ever, in particular who consistently travels together

Seems significant - while browsing messages here, advertisements come up and one for cleaning out ear wax. True and that is precisely what FB is doing to Fiserv.

Hmm, well let's break this down logically with bullet points:

  • FB is a bully
  • FB always gets his way
  • Fiserv has adopted nearly every tool, process and procedure that FD had
  • FB runs things while JY is a puppet
  • Terrell Mill is HQ for FD

1+1+1+1+1 = Lose the Alpharetta office

There were also rumors of some Alph staff moving to the Marietta location. Movement is very probable and given the trend of FD taking control of everything, I would not give Alpharetta long before it is empty once again. Cost Fiserv a cool 95 million to move into the place years ago. FD is taking changes in nice easy to contain steps.,
