Effective immediately, Produce Leads will be taken out of the Fresh Lead rotating schedule. Produce Lead will no longer be able to participate in monthly weekend off due to consistent call ins in the department causing poor MX voice scores. Home office has issued a new block specific to Produce Leads, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1-930 Tuesday, Thursday 4am-12:30. Mondays and Wednesdays off.

YBM has been postponed to April.
I heard rumors awhile back that produce would be taking over freezer cooler. If I am not mistaken they did many years ago and it worked out well? I don't think these changes will be announced tomorrow. I have a good idea tomorrow will be cuts followed by YBM next week where the changes to fresh roles will officially be announced.
Up until at least 3 months ago(when I quit) the produce lead worked all morning shifts and had weekends offs.
The call offs are getting out of control all over the club. Last week our marketing lead had to cover the front end for a 15 minute break, it's getting bad.
I have not seen anything about schedule changing but I did indeed hear that the produce department will be becoming part on freezer cooler and the lead will now be responsible for the breaking down of the trucks and stocking.
Produce will no longer considered a "fresh department" after YBM.
I don't blame them for changing it. The produce lead at my club doesn't do anything.
The company allows those call offs when they implemented PPTO. Now Leads will be penalized because HO didn’t think thru their plans! That’s what happens when you have people in glass buildings who have never worked in a brick and mortar before. When you expect associates to go work in other areas when their job is done- then no one is on the sales floor because the rest of fresh is behind walls and racks! So produce scores are low- YOU brought that on yourself HO!
I have heard from higher ups that produce roles and responsibilities will be changing as well.
Fake news
Sounds super specific to your club. Our biggest issue with produce is having no freight, while the competition is full.
