Has anyone considered writing a book in regards to their experience here? Or has anyone contacted Wendall Potter or Susan J. Fowler?

2019 map scores were reduced on top performers. Possibly to position for future layoffs

Around 40k US employees have been eliminated in the last 2 years. Mostly high paying tenured older employees. Another RIF is happening next week. There’s no end in sight. Offshore is hiring.

February, UHC eliminated 5,000 American positions. August of 2019, Optum announced that all telecommuters were being terminated in 3 phases to be completed March 3, 2020.

Also, why are non-US employees allowed access to protected member information, including government contracts? There's your story.

I hope people realize that United is laying people off in waves so they don't have to comply and follow any state/federal regulations regarding mass layoffs. They're also doing it this way so the stock doesn't tank like it usually does anytime a company makes layoff announcements. Super shady and unethical.

Oh wow you contacted the star Tribune about letting workers go in a state where they can let workers go for any reason. I bet that will be a front page story.

Some small departments were dissolved. The few who remained were reassigned to other departments. Too many age 50+ were layed off..top performers who worked hard to get ahead. Obvious age discrimination.
I used to be a proud employee.
"United" no longer belongs in this company's name. It's misleading.

I would love it if the Star Trib is looking into this. This company is without morals. It's all about money money money and their pretend mission to help people. I know companies can do whatever they want, but these layoffs seem particularly heartless. And how typical that severance packages are pitiful. A company with this much money? It's despicable. UHC/Optum doesn't give a rip about anybody.Don't drink their kool-aid.

Also ask the ages if those laid off. Lots of people in their 50’s. all at the top of their pay scale with excellent MAP scores. Not coincidental.

There are several summary posts that listed the impacted departments at UHC for each wave. Pretty much every line of business has been hit since last summer.
