Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Psychological warfare

I think what they are doing to us fits that definition nicely. They arrange for a whole bunch of meetings at the same time for two completely opposite purposes: being laid off and getting a bump in pay. And then they let you go through the day and night not knowing which one it is; if your life is about to improve or get screwed up majorly. Basically, pure torture.

Tell me that doesn't sound like psychological warfare, to make sure we are kept in line?

Hopefully the Walton families will sell all of there shares to some foreign entity, then they will close all the stores and then 2.2 million people will be looking for employment. Better yet, just dissolve the whole corporation and the Waltons can live off their billions and you my friend, will still be an id–t.

@lgy Reading comprehension is important, you should look into that. I'm not complaining about the layoffs, I'm complaining about the way it's being done. Try again.

Don’t really understand why you’re on here complaining about some stupid bs. Unfortunately it is life. We work for a retail store. They are in the market to run a business. This is not the only company who has laid people off. The people at home office are the ones who have to make these decisions. I know that you are probably sitting thinking well it’s Walmart they are making so much money. Really sit think about how much money the stores have to pay for wages, water bill, electric, repairs, taxes etc. that money has to come from somewhere. As well as to still make a profit so that most of us still have jobs. Life I said in the beginning it’s life. Sometimes you’ll be the bird, and sometimes you’ll be the statue.
