Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike stock falling right as Q4 is about to start - layoffs coming?

Future earnings are not looking so great if the recent slide in the stock price (related to the Coronavirus) are any indication - and they always are to Wall St.

This comes at a bad time in Nike's FY, when money is usually pretty tight. I wonder how this will affect things like hiring in the next FY, and employment in Q4. Hoping they don't decide on more layoffs or furloughing ETWs.

Why is it such a Soul s—ing place, is this in parallel with Oregon becoming California, or did they just need to make those growth numbers, no matter what.

Maybe the new guy just swings an axe, and gets rid of all the old cliques and cabals.

Oregon State Pension obligations can not be met, and parts of your State want to be Idaho.

Keep in mind this company is a sh– show! The worst of the worst people get ahead. It's lost all it's value when it comes to good employees. It s—s your soul and then steps on you to death. I know from experience.

I think nobody knows the impact of the virus.
But if you think of it, half of the Nike stores in China were closed for more than 2 months. China is a $6,5b business. so, that's like $500m/month. half of the stores in 2 months is a minimum loss of these $500M. Don't forget that people are also scared and not so much willing to buy shoes or do sport during the epidemic. So, things are even worse.
Put on top of it Production issues. Factories were producing either FA20 or HO20, so the impact will be significant in FY21 Q1 and Q2.
Bye-bye PSP in FY20 and FY21.
But, once it's over - we'll see tremendous growth.
