Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Last Day today at Fiserv!!!!

Turned in my laptop this morning after finding a job with a competing company. The writing was on the wall so I took my own future in my hands. Why board the Titanic if you knew what was going to happen.
After watching 2 months of oFD leaders in new Fiserv roles tell me the numbers I was providing them were not correct and them changing to look better to senior leadership it was time to go. I could easily see this had been common practice at oFD. Took to my leadership several examples of oFD cooking their books and was told to ignore it.
Be smart. I found a job that pays more with a competitor in 1 week of looking. Don’t wait for your pink slip. Get off this doomed ship now!

What department were you in and the others?

Someone asked if there were any additional Brookfield layoffs...I don't know if there have been any since March 2, but I can confirm that 14 people aside from myself got the pink slip on March 2. (To avoid an age discrimination lawsuit, they provided a list of the ages of the people who were laid off in my severance paperwork.)

I may have been the last person to realize we are on a falling ship. The sad part after years of being unpaid and giving my all to a company just to be treated horribly. I hope i get out before they fire or lay me off.

Brookfield corporate has been sparse for years. Most are working in Alpharetta or from home in various areas across the country.. The CEO and Bean counter are still there. The few times I worked in Brookfield the ground floor seemed to have the most activity. I believe they had a couple product lines in production out of there. Not sure if that is still the case.

I imagine the Brookfield office will die a long slow death after the remote employees are gone. The data center will be moved, products will just be shut down because who will be left to maintain or sell them.

Pinkslipped, any more Brookfield departures? Haven't been up there lately and wonder if it's turned into a ghost town with any remaining people keeping under the radar.

I wonder if more roles will be moving from Brookfield to NYC and FB's empire.

Thank you for the kind words, everyone! Supporting each other is how we get through this and triumph over corporations who care only about profit, not about "their most important asset." Ahem. Yes, this was my 10-year anniversary, so 20 weeks of severance. I was in the Brookfield office.

Been there too. It’s jolting, 20 years of your life dedicated to building something and some asshat flies in and drops the “it’s just business” line. A total tool. But take a break and do not lose your confidence. Great opportunities will and do come. And when they do set back and laugh at the asshats

For the person who got 20 weeks severance, had you put 10 years in at Fiserv?

Welcome to the group PinkSlipped - You are among a lot of talented people that have been laid off under FB's reign of destruction. It will be a bit of a shock when you wake up tomorrow an and if you are like me, you will still find yourself thinking about work for the first week even though it is no longer your problem! Anyway, enjoy a few days before you start the job search. Its nice to unwind a bit.
What office were you at? 68

I went the other route and stayed around for the pink slip, which I received today. 20 weeks of severance will be a nice cushion while I look for my next opportunity. On the negative side, I would say that it was pretty humiliating having them make up patently false reasons to lay me off. They went with a negative performance review, of all things. 10 years of glowing reviews, and suddenly I'm not performing? Permit me to doubt. Also, my manager has been at Fiserv for only a few months and has never given me a review (they might have wanted to check that before landing on "performance problem" as their rationale). Honestly, it was all a bit ridiculous. Glad to be out of that toxic environment, but so sorry for my wonderful team who's still having to put up with it. Free!

I too have found a new job at a leadership level. So refreshing to not be berated by incompetent bosses with no talent other than to swear and kiss a–. Life is too short to work for losers

Congratulations! I am not far behind you. I’m at a VP level so it is taking more than a week to find a new gig but I can’t stand the OFD hacks coming in and taking over. I have tried to be a good leader for Team Orange but it’s clear that JY has left the building and FB is focused on getting his cronies in place and eliminating WFH. I have also been told to “do more with less”.

As soon as my bonus is paid out (assuming it still will be) and I get another offer I will be giving notice.

Great move - and glad you found a better home that appreciates your talents. This should be an example for all Employees, eh, drone units, at Fiserv who are watching FData take it over and k–l it off. BEST of luck.
