Who wants to risk being laid off? Who wants to live with constant uncertainty and the stress that comes with that? Those with top skills are going to go elsewhere. Expect key people to leave in the following months. Why wait until the hammer falls again later this year????

On that there is big time corrupt management and individual contributors in hiring positions, where under the table is normal business and the whistle blowers are identified and kicked out
Yes Cisco doesn't have top talent. They have affordable Indians.
Amazon and Google have s—ed up all the talent. Cisco tried to offer a cloud AWS-like solution and it was a horrible failure. Then went with Openstack (not a bad idea) but that was just a opensource tweek that was badly executed. I remember at the time that happened Cisco had something called "Cohorts" program were grunt IT employees meet with "out of band" managers to "brain storm" "solutions". I attended one of these "Cohort" sessions and was given a multiple choose questionnaire and one of the questions was "What do you think are the leading IT companies: A) IBM B) HP C) Mircosoft D) Other fill the blank". This was 2010. I answered Amazon. The manager that lead the Cohort was surprised at my answer. He asked me, "Amazon? Why did you answer Amazon". I said Amazon cloud. Cisco management is CLUELESS! Amazon got to were they are out of necessity! Cisco simply tries to BUY innovation. THAT IS WHY CISCO IS DEAD! They do not innovate.

Why do you think Cisco offers no cloud or software solutions?
I think the way the corona virus is being hyped is cause fear among people working in the private sector. This makes hard working people that pay taxes feel they need to flee to government jobs or VOTE for a more robust "safety net" that socialism promises. I say stand strong and vote for politicians that believe in individual freedom and continue to work hard. That said I also believe in Nationalism. We need to vote for politicians that will enforcing H1B visa laws and punish corporations that violate them or allow H1B visa holders the right to vote.
