Last week GS and GDC had big layoffs. Any updaye on counts?

There have been regular layoffs. Contract workers do not get laid off. They may terminate the contract early or not renew the contract but it isn't subject to severance rules. Laying off of full time Fiserv employees has been regular since the acquisition. This includes remote employees and also employees in India. I heard that close to 1000 resources were laid off in India between both OFD and Fiserv staff.
GS will always have layoffs. Companies save money by laying off Contract workers. I heard that basically old contracts are not being renewed.
How do you know there were ‘big’ layoffs? Any specifics you can share?
