Fiserv laying off people at this crucial time.It is very bad.
I am very concerned about my mother still expected to show up to work during this pandemic and all this company is doing is giving a slight bump in pay? If this company belives they are providing an essential service, at least pretend that you care about more than your bottom line and give them time off work with pay. I hope it doesn't take the death of one of your employees before you decide to step up.
The nationwide situation has changed considerably since the original post.
Communication is easy, actively ‘protecting’ employees seems to be more of a challenge. Let’s rotate WFH so perhaps only half of you will be exposed, that way the company is still protected with the other half cause ‘we care’.
Ironic that a pandemic occurs while they are planning to implement a ‘Work from work’ policy.
Personally I think the leadership's actions related to the coronavirus have been outstanding. I'm actually surprised I'm saying that, but they've been surprisingly competent to date. Where we go from here is anyone's guess but what comes next could be a very different world.
The WFH policy at Fiserv - don't do it - is a farce these days. Let's ramp up office interaction by having everybody still on payroll, and alive, work 3 feet from each other - have full meetings and other ..... this is not funny folks. All it takes is a few confirmed cases in Alpharetta, for example, to clean out the building and put everyone at risk. My son-in-law works in NYC and two cases on this oh 25 floor building shut the structure down. Everybody.
Fiserv will have a work from home policy that involves associates being terminated
@1eyl+13N9JARt Most Admired Company rating was purchased, because they would read the glass door reviews lately and realize something different.
Fiserv’s response to Coronavirus has been a joke .............. the messages we have been receiving from the NOC provide us nothing but a good chuckle.
Facebook, Google and Microsoft are letting SF and Seattle employees WFH. There are a couple of cases near Alpharetta already, how long before Fiserv does the same?
“Then there’s also the fact that even if a business could fire you because you were in isolation or quarantine, it could create some negative publicity that your employer would be prudent to avoid.”
Would that put a damper on being a “World’s Most Admired Company?”

WFH will help
I'd say that any cancelation of WFH would need to be suspended, especially if government directed (state or federal).
