Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

97% of companies allow teleworking. Fiserv is aiming for the 3%

The move to remote work has been building in recent years, as technology improves and a hot labor market has put more companies in the mind-set to give workers the flexibility they want. Nearly 70% of employers said they allow people to work from home on an ad-hoc basis, according to a 2019 survey from the Society for Human Resource Management, and 27% said they allowed full-time telecommuting, up 4 percentage points from the year prior.

Only happy news on the town hall. You didn't get the memo?

You will never see a question like that asked in a town hall. The questions that are asked are pre-staged. I have seen it first hand in ETG and if You don’t follow the script, you will be out the door on some fabricated performance related violation.

BTW - most admired company is awarded based on a fee from Fiserv. Bought and paid for - every year.

In 2015 FB came to our FD office while on vacation - supposedly as a spur of the moment meet and greet while he was vacationing in the area with his family. He me only with VP's and Directors but in that meeting someone did ask if our office was being targeted for closure. He said no and reiterated he was only there to say hello. Two weeks later they started laying off and announced the closure of the office the next day. He is simply unethical and dishonest. This is the year he was one of the highest paid CEO's in the country. The office was closed by the end of that year. I did find it interesting recently when I found that the WARN notice that is supposed to be filed in advance was actually filed AFTER the office closed. This means they were out of compliance!! Like I said - unethical.

The fear is genuine and warranted. FB and his henchmen are now spying on all associates, and any submitted town hall question (especially if done from the Fiserv network on a Fiserv device) will be uncovered, even if "anonymous". Same goes for employee engagement surveys or any other communication.

Plus, even if you did it from an anonymous email on an anonymous network (and ideally through a VPN) they'd never answer it anyway, or even acknowledge it existed.

How exactly do these “leaders” keep a straight face on work from home when they live at the beach? Would love to hear that question asked at a town hall. It appears the environment is so racked with fear no one will ask. A sad end for a once great company

The fact that leaders are sh’tting on associates while they buy beach houses and don’t bother other the rules tells you that if you stay you are being played.

You do realize it’s only a ploy to drive attrition right? The president of epayments works from the beach in San Diego. His cio lives on a boat in Tampa and his “friend” well let’s says resides in Florida as well
