This is an old post. Go to the new one dated June, 2020. A lot of layoffs in Optum and now UHC will start. You can tell they are looking at some of the upper management because the “protected” ones who do absolutely NOTHING have been moved into other positions. It’s a BIG shell game. Stakeholders are getting scre...ed! LMFAO.

Sorry to hear that but it’s true. I can say a lot folks were walked out today, and over the previous months in my area. I still have my job but I’ve been told by numerous VPS I’m one of the exceptional employees. Not trying to start any trouble but I am still here. Best of luck to everyone.

I was laid off with 70 people in early March 2020 and I heard from former coworkers that the layoffs are 100% based on performance and that is how the decision is made. The strong performers on my team were NOT laid off and have NOT been laid off to this very day. That speaks volumes in my opinion.

UHG needs to lay-off incompetent unethical leaders. CEO needs to fire leaders who abuse their authority. Titles mean nothing. Competence comes from credentials that are licenses, certifications and demonstrated ethics. Drain the swamp starting with the lifers who abuse their authority and throw people under the bus. Start layoffs there.

Optum will be hit hard but layoffs will happen across UHG.
