BNY is getting what they deserve. The misery will only deepen, the stock price will continue to fall. The true talent will continue to leave. It is as it should be.

They are laying us off with bare minimum packages during these difficult times. Some of us were top performing devoted employees with mortgages to pay and you outsource our work to offshore cheaper labor teams that cant even get the work right...I only hope the management also suffers for you to do this during covid19

Looks like the executives will be looking for some staff to go lick the doorknobs clean. Don’t you all go volunteer at once.

I haven’t been privy to any internal BNY Mellon communication regarding the coronavirus, but the company can’t be trusted to handle ANYTHING this important with complete competence and effectiveness. COVID-19 needs to be a priority because the risk to assets and operations is unbelievable.

At the very least, BNY should be expected to do the following:

  • Brief overview/education to all staff on what is coronavirus and how to identify the symptoms and risks for being infected with it
  • provide what steps BNY Mellon is taking to protect its staff and it’s operations. This should include things like: increasing the housekeeping efforts at all BNY Mellon locations-regularly disinfecting doorhandles, elevator buttons, desktops, and all open seating work areas.
  • educate all staff on precautions to take to minimize the spread of the virus. This should include things like: wash your hands often, cover your mouth, avoid touching your eyes, Avoid close contact, and practice good hygiene.
  • BNY Mellon needs to be working closely with the federal, state, and local health department for every location where there’s a BNY Mellon physical office. There should be regular communication between BNY Mellon and the health dept and there should be frequent status updates to all BNY Mellon staff.
  • the company needs to emphasize to all staff: if you are sick, you need to stay home. Seek a healthcare provider promptly and do not come to work!
  • all staff should be given a reasonable amount of offline time to be used specifically to review and go over disaster recovery and emergency preparedness plans.
  • there needs to be a company wide re-evaluation of work from home arrangements. An effort should be made to encourage all non essential personnel to work from home as much as possible during this period of rapid spread of the virus.
  • BNY Mellon needs to establish a hotline or an online reporting system where employees can anonymously report people or groups of people who are showing signs and symptoms of the disease. That way measures can be taken quickly to prevent its spread
  • BNY Mellon needs to restrict corporate travel and to remind people who are going on vacation to avoid traveling to high risk places where the virus is present and spreading
  • BNY Mellon needs to provide all staff with a: link to the CDC, link to the federal, state and local health departments, and any other online resource that can be used to keep staff informed of the latest updates on the coronavirus.
