Managers don’t communicate, jump to conclusions and react badly when you point out that they might be wrong. They tolerate bad behavior. and ... they don’t communicate. They act cliquish.

Most of this is a function of the constant turnover, not necessarily the actual people
all the managers and senior leaders who promoted knowledge and honest open communication have either left or have been canned. so all who are left are either know it alls or people who juat dont care

I'm in actuarial, I'd like to say I'm working on some cool things but unfortunately that pretty much outs who I am lol.
What is the context behind this? Anything important?
The jumping to conclusions is really getting me. I get that you don’t have to have 100% of the data to make a decision, but to use 2% of the information?
People also notice when you’re usually super friendly to at one group of people and not to another group of people.
Making suggestions about things that you don’t know about, when the people listening to you can’t say that you don’t know what you’re talking about, even in a polite way, is not recommended.
People notice when all the proactive communications go to other people and they get left out. We hear it on the grapevine a week later.
PZ has no clue, directs are in over their head. He “brought a knife to a gunfight” to quote a movie.....
It’s ridiculous that there is such an emphasis on including the proper people in various communications (yeah I hear about that too), when a) we hear it on the grapevine and b)they would benefit much more from actually communicating.
That sums up AIG culture in a nutshell.
