Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Finally Fed Up

29 years in and hitting 30 in May. I love this company and have always given my best incl countless unpaid overtime during the week, working on the weekend, and checking emails and projects while on vacation. I did this willingly because I want Ford to succeed but now with the lack of leadership from the top with Hatchet The Incompetent and his minions I am done. Bare minimum is all Im willing to do now. No body cares if you bust your butt or not. Im out of here in May and sooner if a package is offered. Sad because I always planned to stay and support my Ford but my Ford had let me and many loyal employees down.

It took you 29 years to figure out? Life was that good for you under Jac Nassau?

Re: Col Nathan Jessup
Funny how ethical and rational behavior is for the working class.
Those in leadership need not concern themselves with such trivialities as truth, ethics or rational behavior.

Good for you exit while you can on your terms.
The hubris of Ford leaders will lead to a bucket of nothing good.
Crystal ball shows a downward spiral with Ford assets being purchased by a healthy company.

It is sad but I am in agreement with this poster. I have loved this company and worked for it for decades, but the last five years it has not been an automotive company or the Ford that anyone who has oil (or electrons) in their veins would recognize or love. The only positive side, if you look hard, as I think all of these juvenile actions and nonsensical leadership is actually very intentional to help drive employees to leave and can be reversed , and some day current leaders will awake or be shown the parachute. No other company operates like this, no other car company in this day of fierce competition takes complete focus OFF of making real transportation for real customers at a value and price they can afford. So there is hope there will be new leadership someday, but unfortunately when all people are concerned about is how to stop the day torment and hiw to escape is a sad day at Ford.

Amen to the hope of packages offered. I have had it with this joke of a company as well. Everyone around me is fretting they will need to work countless more years in order to retire since the market taking a hit due to panic over Covid - 19. Prior to that most the water cooler talk was based on when they could retire. It has been the main topic for a lot of employees since the 4 Phase Stupid Redesign video was rolled out starring that red head from HR and the Visionary.

The latest Huddle pretty much sums up what the Company is all about these days , and it isn’t the automotive business
