this is just embarrassing. people who would do this are just not good people. i held my head high on the way out and will be proud of my work and what the company gave me. it s—s but this is life. this company does not owe me anything, they never missed payroll. thats all we should expect from an employer, ever. got my panties up and looking on to something great where my experience will get me back on my feet. don't be losers, do the right thing.

In thirty years on the workforce in half a dozen companies, I've never seen a tombstone at the office lamenting someone's exit. They will forget you and you need to do the same. Just move on and find a happier life doing something that you enjoy.

I kept 19 years of information on my h drive and deleted it my last day. Took hours but I loved every minute of it
@wkh+13Q1z7Ba - I'm not getting let go, id–t. I'm the one that has to pass that news to a third of my team. Good people here for years that do overtime voluntarily, support each other even on vacations, teach other teams knowing it will jeopardize their jobs, and try to look at the positive side of bad decisions. They remind me of the poem "Charge of the Light Brigade." They know the order is wrong but they march on to their doom. My "boss" didn't give a damn when other directors and I told her of the value these people bring every day. Her response: "Well, * said I have do it, so you need to figure it out. It's pointless for me to say anything. I'll leave it up to you." Translation: She didn't speak up for them. All her talk when she's in the office is all fake. She's washing her hands of it.
The best revenge is to wish them well, ask for a reference letter and never look back. Put your energy into yourself and not take their decision personal. It sounds impossible. I know for a fact that they are not letting people go because they do not believe they are of value. The decisions have no "worth" measurements. The are just ranking based off some financial criteria and have ZERO knowledge of the impact a person's loss will have on the customer, internal and external. This entire process has been the single worst loss of productivity for very small gain I have ever seen. Being laid off does not mean you are not valuable, it means someone decided to reduce costs and rather than improving existing processes they just slash people. So stupid.

Intentional sabotage like some of these examples is illegal, especially the files example. They can and would come after someone if it damaged business.
