Stop complaining Cisco Engineering folks. U guys work an hour a day. Every time I am talking to a Cisco BU f—ing engineer or SE, they have something going on personal front. Partner Engineers work 12-13 hours a day. They deliver results. Cisco needs to go back to basics with Partner Led Model with more margins for partners. Cisco needs to cut engineering and sales employees and send that money to the partners as incentive., it is waste of $$$ to have these lazy prick SE's and BU nutjobs. Mckinsey got it right.

Not really. Rewards have been limited. But I like what I do and take pride in my work. I was brought in with an acquisition at a much lower grade than my position should indicate. However, I'm going to do my job the best I can and meet deadlines. Right now, we at collaboration are critical to the future of Cisco. Hopefully senior execs will "get it" and start promoting those who deserve it. If not, yes, I'm prepared to jump ship. I'd love to stay, but can't remain below market rate forever.

have you seen any RSUs or promotions from k–ling yourself, dont be a fool, no one else is working that hard, and do you really think that will save you from being LR? look in mirror, you getting younger?

Bull. I worked massive hours from home. Easily clock 55 hours on a good week. Maybe it's the role, but never worked this hard in my life. In collaboration group. We work our butts off.

nail on head, I worked 2 hours a week as grade 11, not bad for 150k comp, miss being able to work out 2 hours a day, clean my pool, walk the mall and take my friends to lunches on Ciscos dime, ah good times

1 hour per day may be on the high side for many WFH.

In Cisco I work only 1 hr per day. And since it is WFH, I get lots of time to relax, fix my house, workout, dropoff/pick my kids to/from school. This is the best work environment and I hope it stays like this till I hit 65. If I get LR'ed, then I would think about looking for another gig, otherwise am just gonna sit back and enjoy while it lasts.

be careful going to Amazon, you will be surprised how much work they expect you to do compared to Cisco, its sobering, and sad. Cisco is great for the amount of work you do a week, and ok pay but the shock of hard work is almost too much to bear. MS is a good bet if you can get in, they pay great and have zero accountability , just wander around campus.

I've pretty much had it with LRs, really low raises and bonus cuts. Going to give that Amazon recruiter a call back. They've been chasing me for over a year now. Loyalty and performance has not be rewarded.

Hey, we can celebrate by having Maria present her racetrack on a Cisco Beat. Wow man!

Nice, I feel so much better. Not.

I wish we could have a leadership day .... but that seems a stretch. A big stretch. The VP/Dir level can’t focus on the customer because of so MUCH organizational complexity that’s created by the leadership .... but I expect the ELT just celebrates together in Napa

My big question is this... will remote work make it more likely that one will be put on an LR list?

Most people think that remote workers are far more at risk of layoff ... with good reason. The company needs to put out something to assure employees that they are safe. If not, you WILL have sick people coming into the office due to fear of laid off. No one needs that kind of stress during times like this.

Layoff employees and replace them with cheap contractors. You need people to run a company, not full-time employees with benefits.

If that's true, then perhaps Cisco shouldn't have laid anyone off. They may end up being short staffed. I'm sure they will lay off more now because they don't seem to realize you need people to run a company.

Let me guess, and marketing fluffbunnies cheered and applauded! Not a fan of Cisco, but I've seen this at a lot of companies before. Strangely enough, they all used the color "Blue" in their logo and color palette. (and even one who is changing from red to blue)
