@3afv+13TGfN13 I was laid off last year. It's truly the best thing that could have happened to me. I hope you feel the same way soon.

@3afv+13TGfN13, so sorry to hear. Hopefully you'll get a decent severance and can take some time to process this. The good news is that the market is really strong and I quickly landed a promotion since I was let go before the holidays. It's a good time to be looking as companies have their budgets all set and are hiring.
@@3afv+13TGfN13 - I am so sorry. I have been there. Take a deep breath and a little time to decompress and regroup before you start the next job search. Where did you work?
Got laid off this morning :/
Heard a RIF will occur today. Not sure if true but it was from a reliable source. :(
The communications lead at OFS is a train wreck. Nobody likes her.
Great point....gossip or speculation is all people have when the leadership team is so poor at communicating. Or they feel everyone needs to wait until a set day. Until that day happens, if it ever does, people will speculate. This is why communication is important and OFS wasn't that great at it to begin with. It's non-existent at OFD.
@1kty+13TGfN13 everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if people have to gossip on this site to try and figure things out. I would assume that the leadership teams are doing a pretty sh–ting job being truthful and directing the company purposefully. The point, Fiserv will let you go at the drop of a hat, when they feel like they don't need you anymore. Fiserv has no loyalty to employee's, and it is just business. This was stated on several town hall meeting this past summer by MW, FB and JY. So, gossip maybe the only thing people can use to prepare if they might get let go, and they should start looking for a better job.
Any updates from today ?
Yeah the same talking points on every post is getting old never any substance anymore. Just “OFD bad OFIS good something something metaphor plus frank and jeff need to pay for second home” It must just be a bunch of parrots all in here, rarely anything meaningful commented anymore
@1ozd+13TGfN13 - There have indeed been First Data resources laid off post merger and there will continue to be more. I do not believe any preferential treatment is being given to non executive level OFD people over Fiserv resources. Trust me, FB doesn't care much about them either. Just look at the frequency of FD past layoffs. They stripped those divisions until only a fraction of the talent remained and those were the most talented making the lowest salaries.
To the long term Fiserv employee thinking this is all just rumor, you can believe what you want but there have been people released every month since the merger. India resources took a very large hit recently. Just because you aren't hearing about this at your Fiserv office, doesn't mean it isn't happening. The company tells these resources not to talk about it or they may lose their severance.
Regardless of what happens, you end up where you are supposed to be. If you are part of this layoff, chances are good you will find another job making a higher salary and hopefully at a place with more stability and executives who are leaders not just authorities.
What is an HF?
HF has confirmed this
To 25 years - ever notice there are no FIRST DATA layoffs? Hmmm. And true there will be some weeks or hours when nobody is terminated but always give FD management good time to figure out some reason, any will do, to terminate and close offices. FB needs money after all and JY has to pay off that second home.
Yes yesterday
"There we layoffs today " ..
Did you mean there were layoffs today ?
If you’ve been at fiserv for 25 years and are so pro first data and the merger why do you read this site
There we layoffs today
Read what and be informed? While I agree the Fiserv/First Data "merger" is a c-apshow and things aren't great, half the stuff submitted to this site is mere gossip. You've given nothing other than conjecture.
That was last week! Stop trying to scare people. I've been at Fiserv for OVER 25 years & nothing is new THIS week!
Read and be informed - staff call this week and there will be further cuts.
Why do you say that?
