GBS is getting hit because the leadership is lazy. All new offerings come out of India- tell me how they know what clients want when they sit in a CIC thousands of miles away? God forbid you challenge an idea coming out of India too. I did, and leadership made my life so miserable that I left on my own last month. New hires meant to “save the business” all prove that they are unqualified, have no client connections, and leave within 2 years. There is 0 screening for external hires. Client relationships at an all time low- I never worked for a happy client in all my years there. I feel sorry for the staff in the US and Europe working hard every day in these conditions. I pray that this round of RAs hits leadership too.
GBS is getting hit all over. I guess nobody needs a consultant when you cannot sell the products.
We were told this after an all hands last Thursday. All redundancies will be complete within 3-6 months. In a country with so many companies, I cannot understand why IBM has no business. I guess because all work has been sent to India, there is nobody left with local connections.
