I can confirm three things: That prior approved Q4 budgets were recalled/slashed, where several people on my team were let go - including me. That there is now or will be any moment a BLUE BADGE hiring freeze. And finally that there is a RED BADGE hiring freeze through the month of MAY, as of now.
Wow, that's shocking. I know my SOW was approved & signed for Q4, but I know they can cancel SOW's at any time even if they were approved and funded.
There's been a hiring freeze for blue badges since the mandatory work from home policy went into effect with exceptions for business critical needs with Sr VP approvals, so it's old news that a hiring freeze is in place. Pretty much the same for red badges.
Chuck and the ELT just stated last night that they'd extended the severance package for those LR'd back in Feb until July 24th. If you're going to get LR'd by Cisco, now is the time for it. My LR from years prior left me looking for work at Thanksgiving and Christmas which is typically a slow hiring period.
