Force them into work from home, everyone call HR concerned for the virus and try to get time off, make them pay for their sh–ty choices

Haven’t gotten approved for work from home because someone thinks our productivity would be lower at home, HR gave me 14 days off, so instead of some production you get none, they need to fire that genius

The message is inconsistent. Most are still wondering what is going on, what is happening. The world is falling apart around us yet we have still yet to see our CEO in front of us. On CBS he told the world that his people are most important, yet he hasn’t said a single peep to any of us. Zero direction. MY manager doesn’t know what to do because her manager doesn’t know what to do. People are calling HR to WFH. Why should we have to do that? It feels so much like BAU when it shouldn’t be. I understand the need for calm and that the job still needs to get done, but this is bad. I am embarrassed by my employer right now. I typically am ultra appreciative and feel fortunate in many ways but this lack of communication is painful. They need to do something...SAY something...anything...tell us you don’t know what the f you’re doing...tell us something.

This contingency plan stinks! All those years of planning and forcing us to live like rats. Now is the time the great plan was to help us and the Bank drops the ball. Look at all those empty cubes.

The quarantine period is two weeks so one week in office then one week at home does nothing. I don’t understand why Charlotte can work from home. NC is not heavily hit unlike areas in the North East that are still asked to come in

Staggering schedules with A group wfh one week than group b wfh another week, how is this helping? And for some that don’t have laptops or proper access to wfh are forced to work in the office with no choice or use sick or vacation time. Is BofA risking our health for their reputation. How about all the big honchos work in the office so the squirrels can work from home.

Business continuity was supposed to be ready for pandemic. Not be reactionary like everything else we do around here. Very sad. Too many meetings about what to do. So far no action where we are at. Just a lot of talk.

Isn’t the infrastructure Elastic like the BofA cloud?

there’s no reason for most everyone that’s not client facing to not have a laptop, even if required to come in to the office most of the time, would have easily been able to transition to wfh during this crisis, hopefully this MSP transition is totally f—ed

What happens if A team member and B team member meet up for drinks after work? Can the bank dictate personal time?

Who ever was in charge of contingency planning needs to step down. Also, a few of the HR individuals as well. This is not acceptable for a corporation of this size to be in such a reactive state.

I totally get how everyone here is concerned (I am a high risk health wise so I’m nervous too) but you’re not thinking past the people issue here. When has over 50% of associates and contractors ever logged into vpn in the same hour? NEVER. There is WAY more to enacting a pandemic backup plan: the infrastructure has to support it or we are in deep sh–.

The North Carolina Governor issued a mandatory executive order on Thursday banning mass gatherings of more than 100 people. If there are more than 100 people on your floor in NC, contact Governor Roy Cooper to let him know BofA is in violation. (919) 814-2000

How is rotating going to combat an illness? You can wfh for a week, come back and someone can give you the illness. Who will watch the kids? Where is the integrity of this company? Who ever is making this decision needs to step down. Start reaching out to your local media, your company will make changes if their rep is at risk.

Same I am I the fraud department as well. My team has no client interaction at all. But we have to come in. We fought since day one to have laptops but the bank doesn’t want to spend money. This past weekend several more cases popped up around us. I feel like a sitting duck waiting for the virus to catch me. This past week was spring break and so many people that work in the same area was traveling before the ban, so it will be interesting to see who caught it

Are you saying there are active cases of the virus at BAC?

My Charlotte team is going to a rotating work from home schedule. My team all have laptop. Other locations, even many with more positive cases, are Business As Usual.

Charlotte can work from home? Only those with laptops. So if you're a manager no problem. If you're one of the bednyak so sorry come to work. I really am worried for customer facing associates like tellers. In comes Mr. Lewis who has the Kung Flu. Has not washed his hands since I don't know when. Has fever, dry cough and gives you a cash deposit with a bunch of dirty bills. Teller now exposed, everyone in the FC has been exposed and everyone brings it home. Can't wait till 14 days later to see who else has it.

Just got notice Charlotte can WFH but said nothing about other locations. Some of our people live in counties that are on lock down. How irresponsible of BAC

NC announced that schools were closing next week, early for Spring Break. That didn’t get released until Friday afternoon. I’m guessing announcements updating the wfh policy will be made Monday or Tuesday at the bank.

If they aren't going to tell everyone who has the ability to work from home during the greatest pandemic of our time, they never will. But they are meeting about it twice a day, so there is that.

Yes and no hope of working from home in the fraud department. We don't have laptops and there is no way to get us any. I do my job with 3 screens and would only have a DPH of 3 per hour instead of my usual 16+. I've been trying to get them to let me work from home for years like the fraud analysts at other banks. If we can't work and the bank doesn't pay us with out making use of sick time or vacation time I'll file for unemployment sit back at home wait for this to all end and silently to myself when we find out what the fraud losses are.
