If AIG Fails Again

If AIG Fails again do you think Uncle Sam will rescue them again?

For the sake of the employees, not management, I would hope so. Clean the "C" suite and board all all of H1B's. Rehire all of the previous RIFed talented staff. Perhaps if the stock falls enough Maurice could scoop up a bargain and rebuild the company back to it's rightful place.

To the previous post - never say never - who knows where all these lawsuits will go - albeit unlikely it’s not over yet.

Boeing being compared to AIG on Capitol Hill - CNBC

Alpha headline. Article says the comparison comes bc of Boeing’s own mismanagement etc. but what a reputation to have and now it’s 100x worse bc AIGs dismal current management makes for a weak argument to give them money.

A bailout will come with strings of a 3 way breakup and total board & exec removal. AIG is now a prime candidate for a bailout with equity going to employees of the three newly formed companies - executive board has repeatedly failed employees right down to the narrow passage (with stern warning) of BDs last compensation package. AIG is to big to fail and has segments of the book which could be gems but management is inept because there is no structure and cohesion.

This is what happens when insurance folks try to be businessmen. Wall Street knows it.

The answer is no. It would be up to BD to get outside financing or break the company up. Stock is at 25.45 and g0ing down.

They want to employ a bunch of H1Bs instead of Americans in IT as well. No wonder Sanders has a following, and capitalism in its current form will not survive. When you have to train a foreigner to do your job so execs can get their bonuses, then maybe you should sell to Indian customers and leave the A out of AIG.

I’m just glad AIG stocks aren’t part of my portfolio! I’m also glad I don’t work there - I had to wash off more then than now with the China CV. I agree, AIG needs to go away!

And I’ve never seen any of my post deleted on this site.

Enough with the paranoia already. Have you ever seen the AIG advertisement here? Think not. There are hundreds of forums here, most of them more active then ours, thousands of people are probably writing something here as we speak, so if something got deleted chances are it was because of the site rule violation. If you were blocked, it’s probably because you violated the rules hard (posted a threat or an insult, were trolling or bullying others, identified someone - by name, initials or other identifiable info, trying to sell something or behaved like a stock shorter, something like that).
Btw, most of the websites you visit, including this one, don’t deal with advertisers directly. They use ad serving companies like AdSense or Amazon, and those companies are the ones serving you ads based on your internet behavior. If you went online shoe-shopping recently, chances are you’ll see shoe ads on every next page you visit.

The site gets paid by AIG and other advertisers, so they do their bidding.

No, AIG has riffed so many people that they are no longer too big to fail. Aig needs to go, it is a terrible company, set up to make the board of directors rich, and a select group of management willing to pay $500M to buy back stock to make them rich. With the stock price down to $25 today, they should be able to buy back twice as much stock. Then they will do a reverse stock split to make the company look good, like last time.

By the way, I had to switch from my phone to my laptop to get the reply to go through, got a Blacklisted IP error on my phone... Not using foul language and not using full names, just posting facts. Why the Blacklist?
