We were split in groups and will alternate, one week work from home and then the next on site until further notice. While on site, we have to keep to our work space as much as possible and limit the use of common areas such as the coffee bars. Restroom breaks and lunches weren't mentioned in the meeting. Not sure what to do in these instances. Once this is over I am sure their will be a lot of required unpaid OT to make up the lost product development time.

The majority of the workers are in production plants and tied to the line. So I guess we as human beings dont count. What will Ford do when the virus spreads and the production plants are forced to shutdown? With the declining sales they should let everyone sit home for 30 days. Anyone with a fever at the end of 30 days will not return to work until they clear.
In sure the plants will take a hit soon from part shortages so why not use that time to protect their workers?

Oh no what will the supervisors and managers do?
My manager walks the cube aisles four times a day checking to see that everyone is in their seats. He desperately wants to move to open space so he can see everyone is at their desk without having to get his fat arse out of his chair and walk around the cubes.

I suppose he will force us to activate our laptop video so he can watch us all day or send random IM that we must immediately respond to or install keystroke monitoring software on our laptops.
After all he must justify his job somehow.

Some people are very unhappy about this, like the guy I know who tells his wife he is working late so he doesn’t have to go home and listen to her complain about anything and everything.

Happened today. All salaried non plant employees are work from home indefinitely.
