The 'people' that Chevron refers to are the executive management. There, now you know the real meaning of 'Human Energy'. You learn something new every day,

Wow does anyone really believe that! I read somewhere “Never love your company because you never know when your company will stop loving you!” include a downturn or an infectious disease and the “love” ends quickly!!!!

MW is a joke. The only thing he cares about is that ridiculous comb over. You’re fooling no one,Mike
It looks horrible on tv and even worse from the side . That thin stringy hair barely fills the baldness, and that stringy noggin makes you look like a bald brontosaurus . Mike, be bold, transform your dome. Shave your head, grow a goatee. Get nice glasses. Transform yourself and then the company (just like satya) I just can’t trust a man that wakes up every morning and says “this looks good”. He is surrounded by a reality distortion field that shields him from the truth. If you make at least 28 million a year, buy better hair plugs. Your currant hair styles is unsustainable, it’s a distraction, it’s a cliche for every old tall bald Caucasian oil and gas ceo. GROWTH MINDSET. Your wife should stop you. Your hair must’ve embarrass her. Also, your total lack of leadership will result in someone at the office getting COV-ID. It’s been a real sh!t show.

Orwell is rolling over in his grave. "The essential act of war is destruction, not necessarily of human lives, but of the products of human labor."

Are we not at war?

Houston is asking employers to maximize telecommuting... It is a matter of flattening the curve so we don’t have the huge surge in Covid 19 cases. It is not to give anyone a vacation. Trust your employees to do the right thing, most certainly will. My question, will Chevron do the right thing?

Is in the Chevron Way, TRUST!!! Trust that your people will rise to the challenge and deliver results, no matter where they are and without you checking their backs.

I've seen it time and time again:

In the good times: "Employees are our most valuable assets".

In the bad (ROM) times: "Employees are our most disposable assets".

Be prepared, tough times coming up.

Actions speak louder than words... employees are important to us (yet no mandated telecommute options amidst virus uncertainty), diversity and inclusion talk (yet MLK is still not a company holiday), we've seen these boom bust cycles before (yet they expand upstream when oil prices are high and shrink downstream, and sell upstream assets when oil prices are low)

Today’s recommendations from Houston, Harris And Fort bend county... Employers to maximize telecommuting amount many other measures.

“Our employees are the company’s most important asset”. That’s only a feel-good slogan, like several others. Don’t take the words seriously or at face value. Chevron management will lay you off in a heartbeat without further thought or consideration if they get a wild hair up their @ss. Employees are worth a dime a dozen. That’s the value the company really gives their most important asset.
