I just left the building. Was told by exec office to come in we would be open until 930. Arrived just before my shift at 6, told to close up by 7. Also told revised schedules would be on line at 830.
Our store was told changes are coming tomorrow. We were told to check insite after 7pm and those changes would be reflected.
We are non essential workers. The govt needs to step in and close all non essential places, like malls, or we will never get over the hump with Corona. It s—s to hear it, it is reality though. The quicker we get this over, the quicker we can get back to a normal existence. If the schedule isn’t out, Macy’s doesn’t have to pay us when the building is closed, we aren’t scheduled. Nice move, Jeff.
I'd rather have shortened hours than no hours. What a monster this panic has become.
Rumor around our store is no glitch in the system. They are cutting the amount of hours open - we hear 11-6 during the week, and 12-6 on the weekends. A Bloomingdale employer told us this was just announced in her store.
Schedules delayed..check back midweek. Many stores, if not all, are gojng to shorter hrs tekporarily.
Glitch in scheduling per message on insite. They are doing "revisions" aka probably not releasing in case you pick up shifts and they close the store and they have to pay you that emergency leave plus any extra shifts you picked up.
calm down. It's a glitch problem. it has nothing to do with employment. no need to be hysterical over everything that happens.
It still hasn't reappeared!
