Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.

So many people were saying this chaos wouldn't happen. Now here we are at the beginning of the seriousness, and some are finally changing their tune. If you still aren't, you will soon. Things are about to get much worse. Just a previous person who posted warnings below that were dismissed as spreading panic. I know it's crazy at Sam's right now, and soon it's going to be a ghost town.

Take care of yourselves! This company only cares about the $$$$. If you don't feel safe then take a leave! At least for a few weeks until we know how bad or not this is going to be. In some states; schools, restaurants and bars are all closing. Some are limiting the amount of social gatherings to 50 people. We have hundreds of people in our clubs at any given time and we are exempt from the closures? What's the difference? Why should we subject ourselves to this virus just so people can stock up on toilet paper and water?

The entire club is overpacked... and unfortunately it’s going to be us workers waiting on the public that suffer. We will either be contracting the virus or bringing it home to our loved ones. It is a damn shame that our exposure to the overcrowded store is like a ‘deal with it’ attitude. The membership desk situation is horrible enough, no barrier whatsoever between us and members, to running our butts off unloading and loading carts for many members that are so rude and ungrateful. How much more is to be expected from many that are doing beyond what they get paid for!

I'm a believer now. I live with my grandmother who raised me most of my life. I'm just hoping she will be ok. She doesn't deserve to get sick because everyone else thinks this is a hoax.

Here in Ohio I'm not sure if any where else they have a ban on over 100 people in one public area. We have succeeded that for the last two days. We are out of most items people are coming in for but we are still open. Smh

Social media:

Isn't shutting down countries.
Forcing travel bans.
Calling out the national guard.

Didn't k–l 240 people in Italy in one day.

World Health Organization....

a “mild” case of COVID-19 is not equivalent to a mild cold. Expect it to be much worse: fever and coughing, sometimes pneumonia—anything short of requiring oxygen.

“Severe” cases require supplemental oxygen, sometimes via a breathing tube and a ventilator. “Critical” cases involve “respiratory failure or multi-organ failure."

It's deadly serious. Stay as far away from members as you can.

This company has made so many mistakes:

  1. Cashiers should have their own registers, not be sharing.
  1. Cashiers should not be monitored for the time it takes to scan an item and be warned to go faster. People in a hurry make mistakes, like touching their face.
  1. Members should be unloading their own carts, not having everyone touching everyone's food.
  1. There should be space between desk associates and members, not jammed on top of each other. There is no social distance there.

I'm sure there are more.

@ahy, Less talking and more working so I can sit in the office and laugh all the way to the bank while you run around worrying what other people are doing.

Social media helps fuel the flames.
People lack the common sense of things their parents taught them when they were a child. Cover your mouth, wash your hands, etc.

Yes OP.
Most people are brain dead Lemmings who can't deal with adversity and b/c they are brain dead, they think going into denial or mocking others will somehow prevent the inevitable.

They accuse others of "spreading panic" because they have zero life skills so they panic, then because they have zero life skills, they think others caused their panic.
These are truly pathetic people, to be avoided at all costs.
