We already have had people bring back hundreds of dollars of food, because "they bought too much." I'm not sure what the company can do, but they better address this issue before it gets out of hand.

Profit or not, you're asking a business to subsidize thoughtless hoarding and reward ones wastefulness. There should be some sort policy put into place if only to deter the small number of bad actors from thinking a grocery store ought to bail them out from those kinds of selfish mistakes.
What’s the issue? They make enough profit it shouldn’t be an issue
