I was laid off last year and wondering if anyone has received their w2's yet. I heard of a few people have got them. When were they sent out? Does anyone have a phone number to payroll in New york? How long should I wait for it?

My understanding is that the Digital team is FAXing them now.
Probably those W2 are part of those latest Greenfield projects which probably explains the delay.
I called HR last week and was told the W-2s would be mailed "by Jan 31st". Which probably means they won't be mailed until the 31st.
Also, Turbo Tax can't upload BNYM W-2s. I already tried.
Supposed to be mailed by Jan. 31st. By law I thought. But if your using a tax program you can try and download it using bny tax Ein #

I asked this question when I was laid off a couple weeks ago. I was told they will be mailed on January 31st.
I didn't received it yest as well. BNY always delay with W2 even when I worked. My husband always received his W2 2 - 4 weeks before me, So it normal for BNY.
I asked about this in my exit interview. The HR rep said W2s will be mailed in late January or early February.
Most of the companies that provide my tax documents have said to look for them around the end of January. Please let us know if HR says something different. Thanks!
