At CN you have to have mechanical experience. At UP you just need to be a VP of any old department, and the executive team needs to hide the fact the VP that was hired from the CN quit!!
This is obviously from someone that’s never been a CMO so it’s pointless. If they knew what it took or had the courage to be one, maybe they wouldn’t be posting here.
