Gads, we best quit talking about it. Price on Amaze-on went up to $29.33 today.

https://ipvm.com/reports/net-cable-shootout

It's behind a paywall site but the Honeywell brand loses out to a USA based company employing US workers and having innovative features customers actually want
The honeywell cable is more expensive retail and made in all places: Vietnam

There is truely no shame.

No, @cqdj, it's not entirely the Americans fault. They are to blame for listening to the other fast growing demographic. Look around...who are the majority of people being placed in top leadership positions these days? Who runs HR? Who are the engineering managers being imported to replace ousted Americans? who has control of IT and our servers?

Check Delve if I haven't given you enough hints. They have convinced the Americans that they can do it so much cheaper, by using their people and by cutting the American workplaces down to their standards. The sad part is, they've done all this and have only made things worse.

Hahaha.....sums up the cost cutting and rush to produce of all our products.
Don't blame the country that made it, blame the mind that made it....AMERICAN.

@3bjs, so it’s somehow better if they are just selling off the good name to put on c-ap? The customer sees the logo, the damage is done.

That isn't even a Honeywell product. Just some cheap company licensing the Honeywell name and they throw a sticker on it.

Folks, I watched the video. It's a Honeywell model 6105 lock box for keys that sells for $17.29 on Amazon. The quality of the product is about what I would expect at that price.

This is pretty much the best representation of Hon. Happy to be out of this fake company!

So sad. A completely clueless company. This probably went through as a 5 phase project with all the boxes of completion checked. Hours and hours of review to guarantee it was perfect. All of that Six Sigma training really payed off on this item. It's a shame when common sense is so lacking among the hundreds of people involved to create this product. All of that foriegn brain power really shines bright in this item.

Sadly this negligance in Quality and poor Engineering exist throughout all branches of Honeywell, particularly Aero. It is catching up with HON at an increasing rate. I pray daily that no one is ever hurt or k–led by the greed of Honeywell's upper Leadership. I can't wait to escape this job and start sleeping better at night. #greedkills

The brand equity will pull in sales and the internal ISC metrics are all good not to mention we paid the supplier in 140 days with Chinese labor. Safety nets are place outside the direct labor quarters for a good HSE metric. A gemba walk concluded that latches on locks are wasteful.
