Any assistant managers out there having luck transferring? Or is every club in a hiring freeze for asm’s still?

I can think of a few higher ups that deserve far worse than downsizing. A couple of them I know have personalities that indicate they are compensating for a very personal shortcoming in a major way and therefore obviously don't have the means to downsize much more than nature has already afforded them.
After this year's round of downsizing... the norm at Sam's. Most scholars know what the big picture of continuous downsizing means for a company. Sam's has been downsizing for years. The co is not doing as well as many believe it is. Creative financing is the only thing keeping it alive.
Nobody will be able to move until after cuts are made
Managers cannot step down right now either.
Everyone is in a hiring freeze. Some will be let go soon. Not sure what kind of room there will be to transfer.
I don't know about transferring, but me moving into a position from MIT has been delayed, I start week 9 of MIT this week lol
