Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

No more cuts in 2020

Glad to report there will be no more cuts. Few heads being saying that recruitment is full steam ahead now. Too much BS on here.

I worked at a place part time a few years ago and they called getting laid off ‘optimization’. So when you asked about someone that got let go, you were told they were ‘optimized’. It was around thus time that I began drinking heavily

Share price is very low and some say it to drop to 35$ per share by June. However, leadership have it under control. No more lay offs in 2020 is the message. Have faith people. #♡thebank #trueleaders

Staff action is like Super Mario Bros, but you're the little mushroom dudes that get squashed

Staff actions is the current buzzword for being laid off. They don't say layoffs when they can people. They say they had a staff action event.

What is “staff actions”? The company goals are streamline processes, cut expenses, move processes to less cost effective locations, etc. Earnings was down again. Read what our interim CEO said I’m sorry but layoffs will continue. Can someone please close this?

Fake news, L1 and H1 are again getting approved, so use your 2 sense!
Most of the LOB are being challenged by US based employees for example #Custody and felt threaten as they are highly non technical, Pune and Chennai are Yes/Sure guys but do not produce anything. Combination of non technical middle management and Yes/Sure worker are great combination for driving bank towards bankruptcy! And no one can do anything! These cu-Ning devil will always survive no matter what.

This thread needs to be removed. It's honestly not very funny at all. Most all departments and divisions in the USA will certainly have layoffs. People on this site just want to hear what's really going on with thier jobs and don't need your bs. They need the truth.
