That machine is a huge waste of money.... $50,000 they spent on it they should’ve invested in the experienced associates who have mastered the craft instead of a machine that didn’t speed up productivity. If anything it slowed it down a lot and feels like the end game is that it will cost people jobs sad to see

Very easy to lose sight and cut several covs of the same thing.

Follow the FST. If you struggled to fill counter before, plan to produce a few extra for your increase sales.

First anything that’s suppose to make jobs easier is eventually going to take jobs. Within 2 years meat cutters will be cut in half and before you say it’s not going to happen go find a associate that use to work in the cash office or an old rec person they will let you know. When they added ASN to receiving to help the folks in receiving and it was going to make there job faster and it did then within 2 years jobs were cut.

Without associate buy in it doesn't work. Associates are not buying in because they think it's going to take their jobs. It makes their job easier, but while it's cutting they have to move faster. One dropped in primals, and someone trimming fast then person dropping in has to swap to tray up. You really need three bodies in the am to make it work right, but jda is calling for two which is hanging us up. So PM really needs a good stock on chicken and seafood.

Members won't buy prepack meat in a place where they pay to shop. Costco uses it, and continues to destroy us. If we simplified our meat counters like theirs and just focused on our top cuts and driving the best price we'd be in better shape. It's be easier to work the counter in the morning for quality.

My thoughts are that the end is near. Do you have 90/10 pre-pack? Our grinder is shrink wrapped.
