Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

No longer focusing on external theft, internal?

Seems that Amazon Whole Foods no longer truly cares about the number of visitors each day stealing from us but the chance that a Team Member may.
So...how bad is the external theft in your store?
Ours is getting totally out of hand.

No one in our store focuses on internal theft. The only reason anyone ever gets caught is because they are seen on camera while leadership is investigating customer thefts or other incidents. We are extremely liberal with the sampling and donations. We have a very high theft store with security guards and two exits. You can enter one door take whatever and leave through the other without coming within 90 feet of a register. That combined with the fact that labor has been cut so much that there is hardly ever a TM present in Produce makes it extremely easy for anyone to just walk right out. We see it 4 or 5 times a day and that's just the ones we notice but didn't catch. Security is worthless. We have a weird area where there is a combination of extreme wealth but also lots of poverty and homelessness. Some of us look the other way when a needy person nabs an apple or something but unfortunately most of our theft is alcohol.

We're not allowed to take home spoilage. But they people we donate them to have returned them at the service desk.
