Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

“The bottom line”

People are missing the point....

Ending DSD will increase profitability for retailers! When WM and Kroger see earnings reports, they see an opportunity for THEM to make more money! Ending DSD will increase margins for retailers, increasing their profit margin! They don’t care how much money Mondelez makes, or how much their stock trades at, they care about how much money they make and where their stock is!!! Not too hard to understand!
The expense of DSD is also decreased Mondelez profitability, it’s a very expensive model to operate and they have done all they can to control costs, short of going warehouse....it’s coming!

For some it will surely be a very bumpy ride! Sad, we’ve had signs for a long time warning us!

Target is starting to test CAO, just maybe not where you are!
It most definitely will not be long now!

Target is not CAO. Only 2 major chains at the moment are Walmart which is EDI now and Kroger is currently CAO and Im sure will be EDI this year at some point.

Target going cao where ? Did that come
Down in a certain region confernce call or something?

Well......imagine that! Target going CAO? For us reps, don’t forget that Target was the last onboard with Keebler and Nestle! 🧐
Makes me really think now that April could be the timeline for warehouse! I know our region is ready! It’s coming! CAO is all they need, grocery managers can tweak orders!

Your DM is going to tote the company line, which may not be in your best interest, as they want to retain help till the end! They have their interest, you should have yours, and they probably are not the same! Assume you are putting yourself first? They are!
Wise up!

Your DM doesn’t care about you! Sorry to burst your bubble. He’s repeating what he’s been told, which is a part of the elaborate smoke screen! DSD is ending

My DM said that we are committed to the success of DSD. We're breaking record sales! Barclay's backed DSD with their findings. Shareholders love DSD he said. Sounds like we'll be here for years to come.

Both of you are laughable! Nobody knows the exact timing of Mondelez going warehouse! It’s coning, we know that for sure and soon!
Who did you “confirm” no conference call with though? Haha!
When the drop the ball, you will know to call in to a call within just a day or two ahead of time! That’s always the way they do it!

Anyone having rally meetings scheduled yet?

You cannot be serious! They are right where they would want or need to be, to pull the plug! Smoke and mirrors was 2 years ago! Rally meetings....all smoke and mirrors!

The are only required to give 60 days notice if they let go of majority of employees at one time! People seem to think they have this cushion, wrong! If they do things in waves, and this very well may be how it goes down, you can be called into the office and sent home in a cab! Happens all the time!

Nobody knows how or exactly when, but anyone that doesn’t see this coming, and coming fast, is living in a dream world!

Exactly. Still always off from a exit. Not sure why people think this year is it. Not enough in place yet

We're still in the Smoke and mirrors phase. No layoffs this year!! 2021 possibly but not this year

Red flags EVERYWHERE! I become privy to something new on the daily. It's hard to put in to words some of the stuff I'm seeing, hearing, and experiencing. Let me tell you, I've worked here a long time, and it's blatantly obvious changes are coming. Unsure as to when or what exactly the changes will be, but changes are definitely coming. I guess we are all in the wait and see mode as to what those changes will be.

This “new dsd structure” is simply a pathway to warehouse. It’s their way to explain all the very easily identifiable red flags (ask an old Nestle rep)! It’s working well on the naive, but those who have been around a long time can see right through things!
Your DM doesn’t know a thing! What he does know is that without a full team he’s gonna be working a lot of overtime, and management doesn’t get overtime! That would be non stop work, and for nothing! Worse part is of they quit, they get no severance. Can you understand now why they want to keep employees in “the dark”?
Oh, it’s over! Won’t be long! And reps won’t be doing much of anything except taking photos for compliance. Just exactly what Kellogg reps do. What’s gonna happen in 15-20 years is brokering out Mondelez reps, if not sooner! Those jobs are already brokered out at convenient stores.

Yep reps are being cut. 1 rep for every 30 accounts. Walmart and kroger will be locked EDI ordering. Kroger will be locked at the end of April. Changes will take effect in April. Your 60 day's notice is coming on February 18th. Good luck all!!

We are not exiting DSD anytime soon its probably still 5 to 10 years away. Our sales were strong this past year. I think there will be small changes this year on the way we do our business but we will not exit DSD. My district manager told us there’s a couple new changes coming soon that would make our jobs as sales reps more challenging but cannot tell us more at this time. We are supposed to get more information next month at our sales meeting

Mondelez wants out too, they just don’t want to own it if they don’t have to! They have been planning for a long time!
TOXIC!!!!

Sounds like Mondelez isn't giving up DSD. The retailers like Walmart and Kroger are going to force Mondelez out of DSD. We're in for a long drawn out process. Hopefully it's ending soon. This place is toxic!!

Post ID: @8ism+13gRm6tm

They'll come back and say that we we're committed to dsd but the retailer's were not. Watch and see!!! Just another elaborate cover up by upper management. Don't let them fool you!
