NE rumors of layoffs. Anyone hearing this?

Seems to me, IMHO, when people are looking to prove their own value and self-worth, and to continue their gainful employment, but are on very shaky ground, that they sometimes divert attention from their uselessness by resorting to creating the useless, and damaging role, of inane bean counters.
And, what do bean-counters seek?
Why, more beans to be counted, of course.
Therefore, redundant bureaucracy, red tape, and redundancy are introduced, as a means ensuring continued unnecessary employment.
Could we please end this money-draining stupidity please?
And, maybe, LSS as well, while we're at it. Wink, wink, as, again, it’s another supposed nuevo money-saving endeavor that has cost us more in lost profits than any of us will ever know, and whose disciples have run many a good company into the ground.
I remember last year, changes in indirect were announced (layoffs and hybrid model) in mid February. Those cut were on payroll until end of March and changes took effect April 1. Anyone hearing any timeframe estimates on changes taking place this year? Wonder if we should expect announcements this mont if things are going to be changing up
I’m hearing substantial cutbacks in leadership roles in Indirect and Retail... GMs to cover multiple stores, and Account Managers to cover more stores bc of less responsibility in National Doors. DMs will cross channel. Ultimately saving the company money with reduction to DMs and Account managers. Just had my Year end with my DM and talked about getting into Indirect- was told this wouldn’t be a wise move at the moment.
The conversation is around VZW Employees that support indirect. You know, like Indirect Account Managers and indirect retail operations? Toolbag...
Its Impossible to combine Retail & Indirect doors. Retail is owned and run by VZW employees. Indirect is Not owned nor run by VZW employees. VZW cant have a Indirect hiring freeze because they are not their employees. The only logic is to close a Retail store and reopen as a Indirect store. Or vice versa.
West. Rumors or combining indirect and retail in to one omni channel. With that, rumors of dm consolidation in both channels. Also rumors of a hiring freeze in indirect
