Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Lists are done?

Ok.... lets shoot from the hip and provide evidence to back up all the hype on here? Cuts...where and when?
Bonus...how much, for who?
BE ratings....whos afraid to challenge?
Pay rise....3%-12%...for who?

Lets...provide the evidence or keep talking BS

Am I on the list? That's the real question here.

It's not up to any manager if any laid off person gets a bonus period. If the bank decided they are going to pay a bonus to laid off individuals, all eligible laid off employees would get one.

Bonuses are already to be determined but just need to be approved at the upcoming board meeting on Feb 12.

If you're BE and laid off you could still possibly get a bonus. Bonuses were already figured before this round of layoffs happened in January. The HR rep I talked with in my exit interview said I could possibly get a bonus, it just depends on what my manager and his manager decided before the end of last year. If you're really curious, ask your old manager. They'll know.

I wouldn't hold my breath though. And no, I didn't ask my manager about it. I really didn't want to talk to anyone else there after my exit interview.

If you are a BE and laid off do you still get a bonus?

With regard to bonus....my manager hasn’t said anything about a bonus to the team. Not sure they even know to tell us. Question is....I’ve had enough. I will be resigning soon and want to wait for the bonus, but not sure I can. If I hypothetically gave two weeks tomorrow, would I get the bonus if I left before the end of February? I figure I stayed past January, but not sure I would get the bonus if I leave before the last pay of the month. Trying to find a policy somewhere, but had no luck. You guys know more about this than I do.

Plenty of cuts due, few done before Christmas only rolling off this month, so another batch in March, share price down 20% in a year, expenses rising faster than revenue, cuts and reorganizing for the year

Bonus pool down 10%. BE eligible for bonus but up to managers discretion. Cuts planned in my group in February and beyond. And we are a revenue generating center.

100%..... share price dropping fast. Has this been engineered to allow for cheap merger/buy out?

I’m not sure if there will be cuts or not. I do know this is a troll site, pure speculation.

Let’s think about this logically. If the plan is to streamline/automate processes, why would there be no more layoffs? If whatever departments this is happening in there will definitely be layoffs.
