are the shelves as empty as they portray them to be or is this a spin the media is using?

the old days when there wasn't enough product in the natural and organic industry we used to spread out the product like crazy or put water everywhere
The shelves at our store have several empty spaces. I can understand why customers are upset. Whole Foods glory days are gone.
No area is entirely empty but the out of stocks are through the roof and these have been out of stocks that have been out for months, for example some of the stuff in the soup section has been out of stock for well over 4 months but they still want us to keep it in set
our 365 beans and rice are nearly gone but we have spread out on other products so the shelves aren't empty. No other shelves in the store are empty.
