January/February is when they love to make the changes, whether positive or negative. In my market, club managers are all currently in Richmond (our markets epicenter). They will get the announcements, come back a few days later and break the news, which is usually par for the course. The only time it didn't happen this way, was when they culled half the managers and culled all of those clubs in the same year. They couldn't very well tell them then, the market managers got that pleasure. Alas, some kind of change is inevitable....
Sams is on their way out.
Sorry everyone they really intended to give u 15 hours but they figured out ur still gonna work there for 11 so they decided they would spend their money in a stupid super bowl and. This is what happens when u let young kids help run ur business. They don't care about employees they just care about the money and getting more money. So joy they will give 2 percent and most will continue working there they know this. This is the world today and it's only getting worse.
The $15 an hour thing has been a rumor since this time last year when Costco bumped their employees up. That is just someone trying to ruffle feathers and keep a rumor going. Fresh areas only start at $15+ unless you're in a supervisory position. They want fresh held to a higher standard. They sure as hell aren't going to bump them higher than that if they were to bump the entire club up.
Is this really true? 15 for all employees? As for coachings and attendance they should start to be more stern on that. It's really out of hand. If ur getting coaches and ur pointing out over and over u get what u deserve. I would love for this to be true that everyone would go to 15 but I haven't heard anything about that so who knows.
$15 minimum wage company wide announcement monday 11am EST. Expect hours to be cut for full time and part time. More frequent coachings, changes to the attendance system (5 minutes in/out instead of 10). You heard it here first.
Hold on Jr. February is always the month for changes at Sam's. Always... Now they also like to keep you on your toes by spreading the changes out through the year. If you don't believe something is coming soon, then just sit tight and get your popcorn. We'll learn you yet..
